A large hearth, prepared seats made of fallen trees, and fish dryers assembled from poles eloquently suggest that this is a good fishing place.

Here, in the interfluve, you can find a fishing camp, popular with locals. The places for fishing are surprisingly diverse, full of life and unique flair. The shores are mostly clayey and sandy, although pebbles can sometimes be found. Its depth is small (3–4 meters), although sometimes there are pits up to 7 meters. The current is quite fast and the waters are muddy, with a lot of sedimentary rocks. The Selenge flows across predominantly flat land, and in its course the narrowings alternate with hollow widenings, where the river divides into straits and forms numerous islands. It is here, in the hilly forest-steppe, surrounded by low mountains, that the proud and cold river Selenge is found, one of the high-water rivers that feed Lake Baikal.
